While Washington debates injectable peptides, a peer-reviewed aging study showed that a humble sprouting grass could do what a thymus graft does, and almost no one followed up.
YES! What a beautiful quote ~ Thank you for the reference!
I've always loved Frank Lloyd Wright's unique architectural style, but I never looked into his philosophies. Now I understand why I've been drawn to his homes, and I'm even more intrigued. ☺️
I came across the wheat grass story regarding cataracts earlier this year. And stories of people who attested that their vision improved after taking wheat grass powder.
Six months ago I began taking 1 gram in water daily. After 3 month I could see mid range distances clearer. I had a 6 month check up w/ my eye Dr to see if I was a canadate for cataract surgery. My vision had improved some and still not needing surgery.
So now after 6 months of wheat grass powder daily I do not need my glasses to drive, distances and road signs are clear. But are fuzzy with glasses. I am able ro read the print crawlers on the TV from where I am sitting. Where as before I would need stand in front of the TV to read them.
I jnow this anecdotal, in 6 weeks I have another eye exam and I am looking forward to find out my results.
I whole heartedly agree with your recommendations.
This makes complete sense. Everything we need has been designed by nature. We just need to stop fucking what we were blessed with from the beginning. Thank you for this. Have you. looked at the impact of buckwheat sprouts and aging?
Love this information! I was put on Thymosin-A back in the spring to help with immunity (I trend low on WBC's) and in the meantime came across the Ancestral Supplement company. I began to read about their thymus product and realized there is a more natural way to maybe achieve the same result as the vial. I have stopped the thymosin A and have replaced it with the real food supplement. It hasn't been long enough for me to notice any difference yet, but I'm betting my body likes the whole food supplement much better, but I do have to keep an eye on the iron so that I don't get too much of that.
What about the wheat or gluten intolerant? Seems like so many good things that help us have wheat or soy in them and my family can’t have either. Substitute or natural equivalent?
I was drinking wheatgrass in my teens, 50 years ago, and as recently as a few years ago when my youngest daughter was working at a long established health food restaurant in Miami, because it was said to be one molecule away from blood. It didn’t taste great but was said to have many benefits and I was trying to regain my health.
There are a multitude of homeopathic remedies, including thymus gland, that can help with health. I’m sure you’ve delved into homeopathy.
I drink a blend of herbal greens, Liver Vitality Greens, by Anima Mundi Herbals, in hot water with a shot of ginger and raw honey every morning. I studied herbal medicine and it has everything I need.
Great article. So is other grass juice similarly effective? How about those green powders that have a variety of greens such as broccoli sprouts? And now I know why dogs and cats eat grass. How do you get the juice? Maybe a Champion type juicer or press. I wouldn't use a centrifugal. Champion has an attachment for grass. Also I remember a study on worms where glutathione extended lifespan and it recommended everyone over 50 take NAC as a precursor.
Broccoli sprouts are more specific to cancers, and brain health. It's possible they have other benefits, but those are the areas in which Broc sprouts have been shown to shine.
Thank you, Sayer Ji! Wheat grass is easily grown and harvested for daily juicing.. I used it extensively about 40 years ago. Consumption should be within just a couple of minutes of juicing. It oxidizes quickly. Today I use chlorella primarily. Which has a similar taste, but is more effective in binding to metals found in both our diet and environment.
Now at 77 I enjoy a very fit body and eyesight that has not changed in the last 18 years .. no cataracts.. my strong yoga practice has also contributed to very minimal issues with any aspect of my overall physiology..
Wheat grass sprouts are a great source of life force goodness and I’m very grateful to be reminded of it! Back in the 70’s many of us enjoyed nurturing various sprouts on our windowsills (brown lentils are quite tasty
Is adding wheat sprout powder as good as sprouting wheatgrass? I'm Celiac, highly allergic to wheat, never considered this...but autoimmune medications have caused early cataracts.
Another example of how God gave us everything we need. 💙
You got it! I think of Frank Llyod Wright's "I believe in God. I spell it Nature."

Can the wheatgrass be eaten like any other micro green or sprout? Does blending it with water release some of the nutrients into a more useable form?
Yes, and yes. Like broccoli sprouts, mastication breaks the cell walls making it more bioavailable.
Thanks for this great article! Are you growing this on your Regenerate Farm to make the extract? It would be a great product for you!

DMSO has been shown to help with all eye problems....check out aMidwesternDoctor on substack

The wheatgrass no longer contains gluten, per se, although those with celiac and sensitivity need to be careful.
Thank you! Good to know!
I've had better luck using barley grass juice powder. The wheatgrass seemed to worsen Candida.
Try barley grass juice powder (not barley grass powder, must be juiced then dried).

Yes homeopathics are great if used correctly. Barley grass juice powder is better than wheatgrass.

I do lemon water and celery juice daily, from the Medical Medium. Changed my life, I suffered IBS for years.
Anyone have a trusted source for organic wheatgrass for sprouting? Not really trusting random sellers on sites like Amazon!
Yes! Azure Standard would be my recommendation. They go above and beyond!
Azure Standard also has wheatgrass supplements

Thanks, CarlE! Definitely will check them out!
Wondering the same thing.

Indeed!
Too late for me - I had cataract surgery but sending this to a friend who is beginning to get cataracts. Thanks Sayer Ji for writing about this.
Surely it is not just wheat sprouts? Other sprouts are very nutritious and barley grass juice is very healing too.
