To whom it may concern; The term Deep State connotes some type of shadow government within the government itself, one that lies deeply hidden. If you ask how can this be, one only needs to look at the "national security" excuse to see how truth turns into a secret and a secret turns into a fear that is then used for not just reasonable causes but as a shield for a corrupt group of people to justify all sorts of evil behavior. The public face of the deep state becomes the National Security State that keeps things hidden in a metaphorical "unconscious". The only problem is that this information is only unconscious to the public at large while a small group of insiders consciously know everything and use that information to their own nefarious ends - almost always at the detriment of the unconscious ones.
If anyone wasn't sure that our governments are utterly corrupt, this essay confirms the stench beyond question. Thank you Sayer for holding your nose and diligently digging through this compost heap we now know as The Epstein Files.
