I agree that no one has the right to tell anyone else what drugs to take or inject. But part of the issue is the info that people receive are mostly deceptions. It’s hard for the average person to know what’s best and their medical professions that they trust are paid to lie to them. So is the government. Until the payoffs stop true info will be hard to come by! But people do need to take control of their own lives and deceptions, not just arbitrarily trust.

When the irreverent Reverend and erstwhile presidential candidate Jesse Jackson implored people to ignore the abuses of social welfare policies and turn their efforts towards an approach that he coined “mend it, don’t end it,” what he was really doing is trying to steer the public discourse away from the faulty philosophical premise that animates welfare policy—altruism—and instead frame the debate as a matter of mismanagement of an otherwise noble and just cause. Unfortunately, an evil tree cannot produce good fruit and so there’s no mending a policy that is based on a faulty notion of ethics. Likewise, the vaccine industry cleanup crew would like nothing more than to frame the debate away from the central issue, MANDATES, and the evil premise that animates them—again altruism with a large side order of utilitarianism—in favor of mending exercises that sacrifice some of the dirty bath water while preserving the evil baby of medical tyranny and coercion. While there will always be an endless parade of epidemiologists, vaccinologists, and public health bureaucrats to argue, without resolution, vaccine efficacy and safety, no one in government, and certainly no one representing those professions, cares to debate the ethics of any type of medical mandate, including vaccine mandates. Why? Because the ethical premises that support them are utterly indefensible in a free society that professes to cherish life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. So what we really need from the CDC or HHS is an unambiguous statement on their philosophical stance towards ANY medical mandate. Let’s get that resolved first before we celebrate mending existing policy around the edges with modified recommendation lists that can always be increased in the future once the anger dies down and everyone loses interest. Otherwise, we’re just pouring new wine into old skins. Speaking for myself, I don’t really give a damn whether the government recommends 17 shots or 17,000 shots as long as there’s no one forcing me or coercing me to follow that advice. Indeed, the government really shouldn’t even be in the endorsement business for ANY commercial product. The only role government should be playing is as enforcer against force or fraud—exactly the opposite role of what they’ve been playing in recent years.

You must be more convincing than I. I would leave out the word "almost". I haven't changed one mind in all of these years. Going back 18 years when I couldn't make my brother the engineer/scientist notice that we have no known technology which can transform 500,000 tons of building materials into a fine powder with no rise in temperature in a few seconds. He'd look only at things which supported what he wanted to believe. Haven't spoken to him since I let him know that I didn't appreciate his treatment of me. Another who thinks he's smarter if one doesn't agree with him. In his high school yearbook it was noted that the thing he was known to say was "I know the answer".

One question though, based on what I can see in the revised schedule, I'm not quite clear how this change removes 55 doses from the routine schedule. Does that refer to the same vaccine repeated over time?
Not only should vaccine safety be demonstrated, but first and foremost the actual need for vaccine intervention. It seems the healthiest children are those who have had none! Plus there is no evidence I have seen that convinces me they either prevent or have eradicated disease. On the contrary, their use seems to be associated with lifelong, chronic disease.
