AI regulation is all about control and centralization. There are independent LLMs (basis for AI) that would be completely eliminated if certain legislation or executive orders go through. This is the same existential battle for narrative control happening, but it has moved from the web to LLMs/AI systems. So, yes, AI can be dangerous. But so can regulating away all but the systems they control and can deploy without We the People's involvement.
